The locational filter is designed to save recruiters time and assist in the initial sorting of applicants based on your preferences.

When creating or editing your job listing, you can activate the locational filter by adding countries to your preference list.

How does it work?

• Users registering on the platform specify their ‘Country of Residence‘ and ‘Place of Residence/Location’.
• Upon receiving an application, we compare the applicant’s location and country of residence with your location preferences set for the job. This affects the automated sorting process and adds a locational flag to the applicant’s card.

Visibility for Applicants:

Your locational preferences are not visible to applicants and will not restrict people from non-listed countries from applying. This only affects the automated sorting and flagging of applications that are visible to you.

Locational Flags:

If you activate the locational filter, you can see three flags on your applicants’ cards: green, yellow, and red.

Let’s take an example where your preferences are countries of the European Union only. The flagging logic would be as follows:

Regions:

To simplify the addition of countries to the locational filter, we’ve introduced ‘Regions’. A region is essentially a group of countries added under one name. For example, if you add ‘European Union’ to the locational filters, it implies that all countries of the European Union are included in the filter.

If you need a custom set of countries or notice a region you could use is missing, please contact our support and we will add it to the system.

Default Settings of the Locational Filter for Your Business Profile:

If most jobs have the same locational preferences, you can save your preferred list in your business settings as your default list.

After saving it, whenever you create a new job under this business profile, the locational filter will be pre-set with your default list of countries, which you can further edit.

Note: Editing the default list of locations in your settings will not affect already existing jobs but only future ones.
